Fall is the best time to address all of summer's effects on your skin. The sun is the number 1 cause of again on the skin so summer can really take a toll on your face.

When I was offering facials at the salon I always saw an increase in facial services in the fall. As it starts to get cold my clients would be looking for a better skin care routine to put moisture and nutrients back into their skin.

Everyone loved the Pumpkin Spice facials. Not just for the wonderful fall pumpkin smell, but because Glo Skin Beauty's Pumpkin Enzyme Scrub helped exfoliate all the dry damaged skin from summer.

Let's Review Glow Skin Beauty Products:

I've use Glow Skin Beauty Products on my clients for years. I loved them so much and my clients did too. Here's why:

  • Glow Skin Beauty's Products are pharmaceutical grade but gentle enough to use every day in a progressive not aggressive approach.

  • They are free of talc, parabens, dyes, irritating sulfates or harsh colorants.

  • They do have natural minerals, soothing botanicals and antioxidants

  • They are a clean beauty company but just as important, is their products work like they say they will. That's because they have potent actives in all their products and use innovative technology to get you the best results.

This is one of my all time favorite scrubs not just for a fall pumpkin spice treatment. Here's why it's so good:

  • It's a dual action exfoliator that's good for all skin types. The Pumpkin enzymes break down toxins and dead skin cells while jojoba beads physically slough away surface debris.

  • It smooths and brightens your skin and reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines.

  • It brightens your skin, protects it from free radicals and strengthens your moisture barrier.

  • It's easy to use, a little goes a long way and it smells so good!

First get your products and tools-

Get everything ready and lay it out so it'll be ready when you need it. Light a fall candle to set the mood. Play some music or call a girl friend or bestie to do it with you!!

Products:

  • A Face Mask for your current skin issues or skin type (Not a sheet mask!)

  • A Facial Toner for your skin type

  • A Facial Serum (or a sheet mask- they are basically masks with built in serum)

  • Facial Moisturizer (add SPF first if it's day time)

  • My Autumn Spice Essential Oil blend (Optional, but will make the experience that much better. See Oil blend Instructions below)

Tools:

  • 2 hand towels or 3 washclothes

  • 1 towel to dry your face with

  • Something to pull back your hair out of your face

Now let's do our at home Pumpkin Spice Facial!

  1. Get your hand towels or washcloths and wet them with really hot water. Be careful when wringing out the water. Roll them up, then put one drop each of the essential oil blend on the towels. Set them aside. (Alternatively you can heat the wet towels in the microwave)

  2. Cleanse your face with your facial cleanser and rinse clean, then repeat for a double cleanse.

  3. Grab your towel or washcloth. Open it up to let out any steam. When you feel comfortable, lay the towel over your face and take a few deep breathes.

  4. Once the towel has cooled apply your Pumpkin Enzyme Scrub. Follow the instructions on the bottle and rinse well with cool water. (You can use your cooled towel or wash clothe to help remove the scrub)

  5. Now apply your face mask according to its instructions. Once its time to take it off use another hot towel or washcloth.

  6. Do a final cooling rinse.

  7. Apply your facial toner.

  8. Apply your facial serum or sheet mask.

  9. Lastly apply your moisturizer and SPF if needed.

Here is a quick simple Autumn Spice essential oil blend you can make at home.

This oil blend can be used on your hot towels for your facial, but it also can be use in lots of other ways:

Try using your oil blend in your hair conditioner or treatment for a psl spa feeling. Or add a drop on a towel in your linen closet. And of course add it to an oil diffuser so you can have a pumpkin spice fall aroma all over your home.

How to Make Autumn Spice Essential Oil Blend-

In a jar add 3 drops of each essential oil:

  • Cinnamon

  • Clove

  • Nutmeg

What other products should you use in your at home facial?

I always recommend sticking to one product line when doing a facial. The products are meant to work their best when used together and especially when layered on top of each other.

So I recommend using other Glow Skin Beauty products for this facial. Click here to check out other glow skin beauty products

It took me a while to finally figure it all out......
